You may hire a volunteer substitute (sub) from our list of pre-approved subs here. If you hire a volunteer sub, please email the parent commitment coordinator with the name and contact information of your volunteer sub, along with the date, time, and job you are having them cover. It is advised that you CC the volunteer sub on that email. Your volunteer sub MUST sign in at the parent jobs table under the name of the person they are working for.

You are responsible for your volunteer sub. Please ensure they understand that they must arrive on time and work their entire shift. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE FAMILY TO CONTACT, CONFIRM, HIRE, AND PAY THE VOLUNTEER SUB after agreeing on the price. Families should expect to pay, at a minimum, the following amount per volunteer sub-shift. If the volunteer sub does not show up or leaves early without proper coverage, you will be charged accordingly.

Substitutes Volunteer Positions

Volunteer subs should only fill the following positions:

1. Timer

2. Shepherd

Please do NOT use paid subscriptions for Swim Meet Check-In and Social Events.

After you have completed the Danville Sea Devils Volunteer Substitute Sign Up you need to email [email protected] and [email protected] to confirm your responses have been received. 

Paid subs can earn:

$100+ per swim meet shift if the swim meet it is located in the Alamo/Danville/San Ramon area. 

$125+ per swim meet shift if the swim meet is located out of the Alamo/Danville/San Ramon area.

$175+ per big swim meet (Woodlands, County, VSA, etc). 

It is the responsibility of the volunteer sub to obtain instructions from the Sea Devils family. If you have additional swim meet questions you can email our meet director or Coach Greg. Volunteer subs should agree upon payment amount and method before agreeing to fill the requested volunteer position.
