The Danville Sea Devils are a nonprofit recreational swim team whose mission is to provide swimmers with opportunities to develop important life and swimming skills while competing with other swimmers in the community.
Founded in 1983, the Sea Devils were originally created to provide a home team for swimmers from the Greenbrook and El Capitan neighborhoods and corridors. We are a part of the Valley Swim Association (VSA), and our meets are primarily against other VSA teams throughout the San Ramon Valley and surrounding communities. Over the years, the program has expanded to serve swimmers throughout the San Ramon Valley Unified School District and, more recently, beyond the immediate area.
Even as the team continues to grow, the Sea Devils remain deeply connected to their home pool and home community at Danville Station. By offering both a swim team and swim lessons within the neighborhood, the Sea Devils help create a strong community experience for local families and swimmers from schools such as Greenbrook Elementary, John Baldwin Elementary, Charlotte Wood Middle School, San Ramon Valley High School, and many others.
Our coaches developed a program to help each swimmer reach their highest personal potential, both as an athlete and as an individual.
Our vision is a swim team that promotes teamwork, pride, and excellence through training and competition at all ability levels. We believe that a swimmer’s mark of excellence should be determined by their self-improvement, self-determination, and self-accomplishment.
The Danville Sea Devil operations are managed by a group of dedicated volunteers committed to the team's ongoing success and sustainability. Our Team Leadership, comprising coordinators, directors, and coaches, develops and pursues program goals to ensure positive, high-quality experiences for all swimmers and their families.
