Jack Sorensen (Head Coach)

I am thrilled to be back for my 10th straight year with the Sea Devils!

2018 will be my 9th year as the head coach with the Sea Devils along with 20+ years of coaching experience. I started swim at a tender age of 4 and I have never stopped. I swam year round growing up as well as through my early college years before I transitioned to full time water polo. After college, I resumed my swim career with masters which I did for roughly 10-12 years. Having all this experience in the water has led me into a career path of teaching PE at DVHS as well as coaching swim and water polo. I have devoted much of my life to this fantastic sport and I find a lot of joy giving back to what made me into who I am today. Swim has contributed to me being a well rounded individual who understands teamwork, sacrifice, and setting as well as achieving goals, and in doing so I have built GREAT-long lasting relationships in the community.
I believe that hard work and devotion pays off, not only in swim, but in life. Swim team is a great building block to having a great happy and healthy life. I am very excited to pass on my knowledge of the sport to our team and help shape our swimmers for life both in and out of the water. We have a fantastic team, fantastic families and a fantastic environment to help your swimmers achieve all of their goals! I am thrilled to bring my passion in this sport to our team and I am thrilled for the upcoming season!
Go Sea Devils!!!

Greg Rodriguez (Coach)

Hello! I am Coach Greg and I have been coaching swimming and water polo in the Tri Valley for over a decade. I started swimming at Blackhawk then went on to swim and play water polo at Del La Salle. From there I played club water polo at the University of Arizona. Upon returning from the University of Arizona I obtained my teaching credential and masters in education. I taught at Mount Diablo High School and now I teach at Dublin High School. While was I was teaching at Mount Diablo High School and Dublin High School I coached swimming and water polo at Monte Vista High School. I am currently the head swim coach at Dublin High. For the last 6 seasons I coached at Diablo Country Club and before that at Blackhawk Country Club. I am excited to start coaching at the Danville Sea Devils and meet all the great families that I have heard about on this swim team!

Jack Brown (Coach)

Growing up I swam rec for the Springwood Sprinters from the age of 5 until my last summer at 18. I also spent 4 years coaching for Springwood, 3 of which I was the Head Coach. I attended Clayton Valley High School where I was a two sport varsity athlete all 4 years in water polo and swim. I'm currently in my fourth year at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where I am studying Kinesiology. Here at Poly I've competed on the Men's Club Water Polo Team all four years. In addition to playing, I coached the Women's Water Polo team for 3 years, 2 of which I was Head Coach. My life has always revolved around the pool, whether I'm training, competing, or coaching, and I absolutely love all of it. When I'm not around the pool I enjoy working out and spending time with friends and family. I look forward to the season ahead and meeting you all!

Jen Moirao (Coach - Little Devils and 6U)

I have been coaching for 16+ years for the Blackhawk HOX and now returning for my second year with the Danville Sea Devil's. I have coached a wide range of ages, from 2 - 19 years old. I have been in charge of the Mini Hox for the past several years.  I have developed Mini Hox into an intro to swim team program for younger swimmers. It is exciting to watch children start out at a young and progress to 15-18s. When I am not around the pool I am a third grade teacher in Dublin. I enjoy running and taking trips to Disneyland! I am looking forward to a fun season!

Edwin Cheung

I have been swimming and in the pool for just about my whole life now starting at age 5 up until I graduated high school. I swam for two teams during my middle school years as well as all four years as a student at Dougherty Valley High School. When I’m not in the pool, I enjoy working out, hiking, or anything that gets me up and active. I have come to love swimming as not just a sport but as an activity and I can’t wait to share my love for swimming with many others this upcoming season!

Brendan Leahey

I’m currently a student at Monte Vista High School, and this is my third year of coaching for the Sea Devils. I’ve swam with the Sea Devils since I was 9. I enjoy swimming and playing soccer in my free time. I’m looking forward to a great season and can’t wait to see the returning swimmers grow and even some new faces this summer.

Ethan Rodriguez

I am the oldest of four boys. I started swimming with the Sea Devils five years ago when my family moved to Danville. I attend San Ramon Valley High School where I have been swimming for the past two years. My favorite strokes include the breast and free. This year will be my first year coaching, but I have extensive experience working with children as a Boy Scout. My hobbies include swimming, playing video games, hanging out with my friends and going to the movies. I am looking forward to another great swim season with the Sea Devils!
