The Sea Devils Summer Swim Team is a recreational team that is focused on fostering a fun, positive atmosphere for swimmers to develop stroke technique and a love for swimming. The Sea Devils are a part of the Valley Swim Association (VSA) and competes in the VSA Championship meet at the conclusion of the summer season. Every swimmer is invited (and highly encouraged) to attend this fun meet. Practices are held Monday through Friday with typically two swim meets a week. The team participates in various invitational meets, including the County Championships, during the summer which are optional and often require an additional fee above the summer team registration.
New families are encouraged to attend the informational night on
February 7th at 6:30pm at the Danville Station Clubhouse. This evening will
help to answer any questions you have about the team. If you can't attend the meeting or need more information sooner, please review the Frequently Asked Questions for additional information.

Parent Job Commitment
The team and all meets are run by parent volunteers. Each family is required to fulfill certain volunteer credits during the season. These credits can be fulfilled by volunteering for jobs to assist with swim meets or team management. Please refer to the Parent Commitment page for further information. During registration you will see a $500 conditional fee. This fee is only charged to your card if the job commitment is not met.
Sea Devils is a non-profit organization that is fully funded by our membership
and donations. During the registration process there will be an option to make
a donation in addition to your membership fees. The donations we receive
through this avenue will help support our team and our swimmers. For further information on the fundraising initiatives of the team please click on the link: Fundraising.
Coaches ask that swimmers come to each practice with the following:
- Practice suit (team suits should not be worn to practice
- Cap (for those swimmers with long hair)
Team suits, caps and spiritwear are also available for purchase. It is strongly recommended that swimmers have a team suit and cap for swim meets.
All 6U swimmers will be evaluated for team readiness prior to the start of the season. The only exception would be 6U swimmers who participated on the team last year, or Little Devils who were cleared to "move up". Evaluations are to assess the swimmer's ability to swim 25 yards of freestyle and 25 yards of backstroke unassisted (the strokes do not have to be perfect). If you are unsure of your swimmer's ability, we suggest putting him or her in some lessons prior to evaluations. Splash and American Swim Academy are a couple of local swim schools that provide lessons. Date and time TBD.
